Painting the shutters is the easiest and most cost efficient solution. We use fade resistant paint with a little sheen to help reflect the suns rays. Shutters that have been painted can hold up against fading twice as long as the stock vinyl color.

The Process

The first thing we do is hand clean the shutters to remove any dirt, mold, mildew, and oxidation. Next, we add a little Emulsa-bond to the paint which will help it adhere to chalky surfaces. Next, we top coat without Emulsa-bond. To complete the transformation now is a good time to put a fresh coat of paint on the front door and jam which also take a lot of abuse.
