Charleston SC Garage Floor Painting
Paragon Painting contracted to paint the garage floor of this Charleston SC home.
Our Client was so pleased with the results of his new floor he then contracted us to paint the cinder block walls. For the next phase, we will be painting the trim, stairwell, and the additional unfinished floors in the garage.
We used a two part epoxy on the floors and an additional two part clear epoxy to make it more durable and give it a more glossy finish. We then applied Sherwin Williams A-100 on the cinder block walls.
Step One:
Whenever painting a garage floor the most important part is the floor prep. We cleaned this floor with an acid wash prior to applying the epoxy coating as shown in the picture below.
Step Two:
We then applied the two part epoxy paint and the decorative chips. After allowing the floor to dry for 24hrs we then applied the two part epoxy clear sealer.
Step Three:
Once the floor had been allowed to dry for five days we then came back to paint the walls. The walls were painted two coats with Sherwin Williams A100 paint.
We will be returning soon to complete the next phase of the project. This will entail painting the trim, stairs, stairwell, another section of the garage floor, and the cinder block walls that haven’t been done yet. Check back soon there will be more updates to follow!
